Painters in Hannibal, Missouri

Close enough that Hannibal is a regular stop, not a special trip. Interior and exterior residential work across town and the surrounding county.

Hannibal is roughly twenty miles south of the shop, which makes it one of the towns we work in most often outside Quincy itself. Short drive, no travel premium on typical residential projects.

The town has a lot of nineteenth and early twentieth century housing, much of it well cared for and much of it carrying decades of accumulated paint. Exterior work here rewards patience: proper scraping, feathering the edges of old paint, spot priming bare wood, and being realistic about which surfaces need more than a fresh coat.

What Hannibal homes ask for

Older wood siding and detailed trim dominate, and the river valley humidity is hard on both. The failures we see most are on south and west exposures where sun and moisture cycle hardest — that's where paint lifts first and where cutting corners on prep shows up within a couple of seasons. We'd rather quote the real prep than the cheap number.

Questions

Painting in Hannibal, MO

Is there a travel charge to Hannibal?
Not for typical residential projects. It's about twenty miles and we're down there regularly.
Can you handle older exterior wood siding?
Yes. That's most of what exterior work in Hannibal involves. We'll walk the house with you and point out what needs repair before paint, because that's what decides how long the finish lasts.
Do you work outside Hannibal proper?
Yes, we cover the surrounding area in Marion and Ralls counties. Worth asking either way.
